Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an 8-bed ICU setting with a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Manage ventilator-dependent patients, arterial lines, and progressive care unit patients
- Care for overdose and suicide attempt patients in accordance with unit protocols
- Utilize unit equipment including Omnicell, Accu-Chek, and EPIC electronic health records
- Float to MedSurg unit as needed based on staffing requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Minimum 2 years of ICU or Progressive Care experience required
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Ability and willingness to float to MedSurg when needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
- PALS certification
- NIH Stroke Scale certification
- Experience with EPIC, Omnicell, and Accu-Chek systems
