Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in both the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU/Recovery Room) and Short Stay/Medical Procedure Unit (pre-op and post-op areas), with approximately one shift per week in Recovery and two shifts per week in Short Stay.
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:2–3, delivering safe and effective nursing care throughout the perioperative continuum.
• Participate in on-call responsibilities, including one night per week and one weekend per four-week schedule.
• Float to other units and facilities as needed based on skill set and organizational staffing needs.
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic electronic health records.
• Commit to working three of five designated holidays as outlined in the contract schedule.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission.
• Minimum of one year of PACU or relevant perioperative nursing experience.
• Ability and willingness to fulfill on-call obligations (one night per week and one weekend per four-week schedule).
• Must have reliable personal transportation for this assignment.
• Willingness to float to sister facilities within the regional network as required.
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify under traveler guidelines.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in Short Stay, pre-op, or post-op nursing environments.
• Familiarity with Epic electronic health records charting system.
• Experience working in a short-term acute care or teaching hospital setting.
