Contract | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Monitor and assess maternal and fetal status throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum periods
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic electronic health records
- Float between like units as needed to support staffing across the facility
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered California RN license (must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
- Current ACLS, BCLS, and NRP certifications
- Advanced AWHONN certification
- Valid LA Fire Card obtained within the last 30 days
- Must disclose any license or background hits at time of submission; no open license hits will be approved
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience charting in Epic electronic health records system
- Familiarity with Magnet facility standards and acute care hospital environments
- Ability to accommodate a block schedule based on manager discretion
