Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Surgical Oncology)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a mixed-acuity PCU/Med-Surg Surgical Oncology unit serving adult and geriatric populations
• Manage patients with surgical oncology diagnoses including breast, thyroid, melanoma, hepatobiliary, colorectal, and reconstructive plastics cases
• Administer and monitor chemotherapy, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, insulin drips, and heparin drips
• Recognize and respond to oncologic emergencies including cytokine release syndrome
• Maintain a strong focus on infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed based on staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience, with at least 1 year of PCU experience
• Valid RN license (compact or state-specific) required at time of submission
• Active BLS certification required
• Active ACLS certification required
• Active NIHSS certification required
• Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred
• Prior experience with EPIC electronic health records system
• Experience caring for surgical oncology patient populations
