Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 3 x 12-hour shifts per week | 36 hours per week | 11-week contract

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency nursing unit
• Assess, triage, and manage patients across a range of acuity levels
• Document patient information accurately and in a timely manner using Epic EMR
• Participate in handoff communication at change of shift, ensuring all outstanding tasks and relevant patient information are conveyed to oncoming staff
• Float to areas within comparable acuity levels as needed
• Adhere to holiday and weekend rotation requirements, including every-other holiday and every third weekend

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Delaware or a valid Compact RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Emergency Room nursing (no exceptions)
• Recent hands-on experience with Epic EMR
• Current, valid certifications required (must be provided with application)
• Ability to work night shifts, rotating weekends, and holidays as scheduled

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-volume or Level I/II trauma emergency department
• Strong communication and handoff skills in high-acuity clinical environments
