Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 3 x 12-hour shifts | 36 hours per week | 11-Week Contract

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a telemetry/ACE unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5
• Monitor and manage patients with common diagnoses including pneumonia, UTI, altered mental status, GI bleed, AKI, syncope, fall with fracture, and stroke, with a focus on geriatric populations
• Perform and assist with special procedures including lumbar puncture (LP)
• Document all patient care accurately using Epic EMR
• Participate in every-other holiday coverage and every third weekend rotation as required
• Provide timely shift handoff to charge or oncoming nurse, communicating outstanding tasks and relevant patient information not readily visible in the EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active Delaware RN license or valid Compact RN license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of experience in telemetry specialty — no exceptions
• All required certifications must be current and submitted with application
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Ability to complete a Voice Advantage interview and a nurse manager screening/interview prior to placement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for geriatric patient populations
• Familiarity with ACE (Acute Care for Elders) unit environments
• Experience with telemetry monitoring in a high-acuity setting
