Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and reassessments per policy or as warranted by patient condition, demonstrating sound independent clinical decision-making.
- Initiate, prioritize, and implement individualized plans of care; collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to revise plans as needed.
- Monitor and document patient responses to clinical interventions in a timely and accurate manner.
- Facilitate and evaluate patient and family education specific to care, treatment, services, and discharge planning.
- Delegate tasks appropriately to licensed and non-licensed personnel; serve as a mentor and preceptor to support staff development.
- Participate in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives; ensure compliance with regulatory standards and practice governance frameworks.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
- Minimum of two (2) years of acute care RN experience.
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN).
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Current NIHSS certification.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in an IMC, PCU, or step-down unit setting.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring or precepting nursing staff.
