Key Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and reassessments per policy or as warranted by patient condition, demonstrating sound independent clinical decision-making.
• Initiate, prioritize, and implement individualized plans of care; collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to revise plans as needed.
• Monitor and document patient responses to clinical interventions in a timely and accurate manner.
• Facilitate and evaluate patient and family education specific to care, treatment, services, and discharge planning.
• Delegate tasks appropriately to licensed and non-licensed personnel; serve as a mentor and preceptor to support staff development.
• Participate in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives; ensure compliance with regulatory standards and practice governance frameworks.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Minimum of two (2) years of acute care RN experience.
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN).
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current NIHSS certification.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in an IMC, PCU, or step-down unit setting.
• Demonstrated experience mentoring or precepting nursing staff.
