Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Days | Onsite | 5x8-Hour Shifts | 40 Guaranteed Hours per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the overall operations of the Nursing Services department in accordance with current state and federal laws and regulations.
• Interpret and communicate policies and procedures to nursing staff, and monitor staff practices and implementation.
• Participate in admission decisions and attend daily or weekly management team meetings to address census changes, resident status changes, complaints, and concerns.
• Evaluate work performance of nursing personnel and implement disciplinary actions in accordance with operational policies.
• Participate in QAPI and facility assessment activities, including performance improvement committee duties as assigned.
• Ensure delivery of compassionate, quality care and nursing supervision through adequate unit staffing, general cleanliness, and maintenance of optimal resident function.

Required Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of three (3) years of recent experience as a Director of Nursing (DON) in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting.
• Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in a hospital, nursing home, or related healthcare facility.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Ability to fulfill on-call responsibilities as needed by the facility.
• Must be able to complete facility-required background check and drug screening prior to assignment start; results may take 7–10 business days.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience serving on or facilitating facility committees, including quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI).
• Familiarity with state and federal long-term care regulations and compliance requirements.
