Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) during day shift hours
- Respond to on-call requirements as scheduled
- Float to clinically appropriate units as needed, within scope of practice, licensure, and demonstrated competencies
- Collaborate with the surgical and cardiovascular care team to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
- Maintain compliance with unit-specific protocols and standards of care
Required Qualifications
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Experience in CVOR or cardiovascular surgical nursing
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience floating to multiple clinical units within a large health system
- Familiarity with cardiovascular and cardiac catheterization procedures
