Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Nights

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 36 hours per week | Sunday–Tuesday nights with a 4th night rotation every other week | Hours: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM | Includes some call and weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and collect diagnostic information including pulmonary function testing, sleep studies, blood gas analysis, and noninvasive and invasive diagnostic procedures
• Accurately assess patients through physical examination and interpretation of diagnostic data
• Apply respiratory therapeutics including medical gas therapy, aerosol therapy, airway clearance, and invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation
• Assess patient reactions and results of therapeutic interventions in a timely manner
• Participate in discharge planning, case management, and public education activities focused on cardiopulmonary wellness
• Attend all mandatory safety in-services and department meetings as required

Required Qualifications

• Certification or registry from an accredited college or technical school in Respiratory Therapy
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required; Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT) considered
• Minimum of two years of respiratory therapy experience required
• Current, active Respiratory Therapist license in the State of Colorado
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with artificial airway insertion, management, and care
• Familiarity with Pad Net testing and sleep study procedures
