Contract | 13 Weeks | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Rotating Days and Nights (7:00–19:00 / 19:00–7:00) | Every Other Weekend Required | Occasional On-Call Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to neonatal patients in a Level 3 NICU setting
- Attend and assist with high-risk deliveries as required
- Float to satellite NICU locations as assigned, with mileage reimbursement provided from home location
- Maintain a minimum of 3 shifts per week, including every other weekend
- Work 2 of the following 3 holidays (including holiday eves): Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
- Complete up to 10 hours of non-billable pre-start modules prior to orientation
Required Qualifications
- Active California RN license (or confirmed ETA for licensure posting)
- Minimum 2 years of NICU Level 3 or higher experience
- Experience attending high-risk deliveries
- Current BLS certification
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Proficiency with Epic EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a children's hospital, Magnet-designated, or teaching facility environment
- Pediatric experience across multiple care settings
- Comfort with rotating day and night shift schedules in a high-acuity environment
