Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12-Hour Shifts) | 36 or 48 hours per week accepted | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to neonatal patients in an intensive care unit setting
- Perform clinical assessments, monitor patient status, and implement individualized care plans
- Support infant-driven feeding practices in accordance with facility protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
- Float within scope of practice to other units as needed per facility policy
- Accurately document all patient care activities within the electronic health record system
Required Qualifications
- Active or pending RN license in Virginia (must be in hand by the Wednesday prior to start date)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required and must be current at time of submission
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
- Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be submitted with certification pending)
- Epic EMR experience required
- Nursys verification required at time of submission
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience in a NICU setting
