Registered Nurse – Cardiac Stepdown

Contract | Days | 3x12 Hours (7:00–19:30) | Onsite | Every other weekend required; subject to change based on unit need

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to inpatient adults with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions, including sepsis, MI, unstable angina, and coronary artery disease
• Administer and monitor vasoactive infusions, IV antiarrhythmic therapy, thrombolytic therapy, and anticoagulation
• Perform and interpret cardiac telemetry monitoring, EKG, and non-invasive blood pressure monitoring
• Assist with or support procedures including defibrillation, cardioversion, and thoracentesis
• Float to like units or other facilities as needed based on census and operational demands

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of experience with EPIC EMR
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Cardiac Stepdown or similar clinical setting (candidates with 1+ years of recent relevant experience may be considered)
• Willingness and ability to float to qualified units or campuses as operationally required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a cardiac or progressive care setting
• Demonstrated competency in vasoactive drug administration and antiarrhythmic drug therapy
• Familiarity with pre-assignment compliance processes and online module completion requirements
