Key Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in the care of outpatient dialysis patients.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and State laws and practice acts.
- Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care as prescribed by the physician and/or facility policy, including patient and family instruction.
- Document patient care activities according to established standards of care.
- Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance.
- Apply critical thinking skills related to patient safety and experience, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Wisconsin.
- AHA Provider Level BLS certification.
- AHA Provider Level ACLS certification.
- Education verification required.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in an outpatient dialysis setting.
- Demonstrated ability to provide clinical expertise and guidance across units or departments in support of a patient's longitudinal plan of care.
