Travel EMT – Emergency Care Center (Nights)

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency medical technician support within a high-volume Emergency Department, including cardiac monitoring and internal processing areas
- Assist with patient care in triage, behavioral hold areas, and all sections of the ED as needed
- Operate and monitor equipment including infusion pumps and patient monitoring systems
- Document patient information accurately using an electronic health record system
- Maintain patient experience standards including communication boards, timely patient updates, and respectful, patient-centered interactions throughout each visit
- Float to all sections within the Emergency Department as department needs require
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of EMT experience, with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting
- Experience in a Level II Trauma Center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ annual visits)
- Active ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required prior to start date
- ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
- Strong teamwork mentality with the ability to provide and receive real-time feedback
- Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience within an HCA-affiliated facility
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic documentation systems
- Experience working in a culturally diverse, multilingual patient population environment
