Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend (Friday and Saturday nights) | Holidays as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to Labor and Delivery patients in a high-acuity Level 3 setting
- Monitor and assess antepartum and postpartum patients as part of comprehensive maternal care
- Perform and interpret electronic fetal monitoring throughout patient care
- Utilize telemetry monitoring to support patient safety and clinical decision-making
- May float to the antepartum unit as needed based on staffing requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current CPR certification required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health records system
- Strong Level 3 Labor and Delivery experience, including antepartum and postpartum care
- Competency in electronic fetal monitoring
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with telemetry monitoring in a maternal care setting
- Familiarity with antepartum unit workflows and patient population
