Key Responsibilities

• Provide culturally relevant, evidence-based individual, group, family, and marital therapy to clients experiencing behavioral, emotional, and/or mental health disorders
• Conduct bio-psychosocial assessments, diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, and care coordination utilizing Trauma Informed Care principles
• Integrate mental health and substance use disorder interventions based on individualized assessments and treatment plans
• Provide crisis intervention services during normal clinic hours; participate in a shared rotating after-hours crisis and emergency services schedule at rural clinic locations
• Maintain complete, timely, and accurate documentation within the electronic health record, including assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, screening tools, and discharge plans
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members across the health system and attend staff meetings, training, and team meetings professionally

Required Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related discipline from an accredited institution
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 3 months of hire (American Heart Association)
• Valid State of Alaska Driver's License required, or must be obtainable within 6 months of hire
• Clinical Competency Assessment required within 3 months of hire and every 3 years thereafter
• Experience with behavioral health assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and referral for patients of all ages
• Knowledge of HIPAA, CARF, The Joint Commission, state mandatory reporting requirements, and relevant federal and state regulations

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Active licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT); unlicensed candidates will receive clinical supervision toward licensure
• Alaska State Chemical Dependency Counselor I (CDCI) or Master Addiction Counselor (MAC) certificate or equivalent
• Experience applying motivational interviewing techniques and delivering substance use disorder interventions alongside mental health treatment
• Familiarity with suicide risk assessment and safety planning for diverse patient populations
