Key Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based, culturally relevant outpatient behavioral health treatment including individual, group, family, and marital therapy for clients experiencing behavioral, emotional, and/or mental health disorders
• Conduct bio-psychosocial assessments, diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, care coordination, and crisis intervention within normal clinic hours
• Integrate mental health and substance use disorder interventions based on individualized assessments; utilize Trauma Informed Care in all patient, employee, and community interactions
• Participate in shared rotating after-hours crisis and emergency services coverage at rural clinic locations
• Maintain complete, timely, and accurate documentation of all services within the electronic health record in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Actively engage as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team, attending staff meetings, training sessions, and team meetings while consistently meeting established productivity standards

Required Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related discipline from an accredited institution
• Licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT preferred; unlicensed candidates with a qualifying master's degree are eligible and will receive clinical supervision toward licensure — once licensure is obtained, it must remain current for the duration of employment
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 3 months of hire (American Heart Association)
• Valid State of Alaska Driver's License required or must be obtainable within 6 months of hire
• Completion of SEARHC Clinical Competency Assessment required within 3 months of hire and every 3 years thereafter
• Experience with behavioral health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plan development across all age groups

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Alaska State Chemical Dependency Counselor I (CDCI) or Master Addiction Counselor (MAC) certificate or equivalent
• Experience delivering Trauma Informed Care and motivational interviewing techniques
• Familiarity with federal and state regulatory requirements including HIPAA, CARF, The Joint Commission, and state Medicaid regulations
• Experience working with diverse or Indigenous populations in a culturally responsive manner
