Key Responsibilities

• Provide culturally relevant, evidence-based individual, group, family, and marital therapy as well as bio-psychosocial assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and care coordination for clients experiencing behavioral, emotional, and/or mental health disorders
• Integrate mental health and substance use disorder interventions based on individualized assessments and treatment planning, utilizing Trauma Informed Care in all patient, employee, and community interactions
• Deliver crisis intervention services during normal clinic hours and participate in shared rotating after-hours crisis and emergency services at rural clinic locations
• Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans, progress notes, discharge plans, and all required documentation within the electronic health record in a timely and accurate manner per regulatory standards including HIPAA, CARF, and The Joint Commission
• Collaborate and communicate with multidisciplinary clinical and paraprofessional team members to achieve individualized patient treatment goals
• Consistently meet clinical productivity standards and promptly respond to coding, audit, and provider enrollment requests

Required Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related discipline from an accredited institution
• Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) preferred; unlicensed candidates will receive clinical supervision toward licensure
• Valid State of Alaska Driver's License (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 3 months of hire (American Heart Association)
• Clinical Competency Assessment required within 3 months of hire and every 3 years thereafter
• Experience with behavioral health assessment, diagnosis, and the ability to provide treatment planning and referrals for patients of all ages

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Alaska State Chemical Dependency Counselor I (CDCI) or MAC certificate or equivalent
• Experience applying motivational interviewing techniques and delivering trauma-informed care
• Familiarity with federal and state mandatory reporting requirements and behavioral health regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, CARF, The Joint Commission, HRSA, State Medicaid)
• Experience conducting suicide risk assessments and developing safety plans
