Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for emergency patients
• Document patient information and care accurately using Cerner
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
• Respond to emergent and critical patient situations in accordance with unit protocols

Required Qualifications

• Active West Virginia RN license or Compact RN license (pending license accepted for submission)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• PALS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA), if required by the unit
• Candidates must have a permanent address greater than 100 miles from the facility (candidates between 75–100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in an Emergency Room setting
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health record system
• Experience managing high-acuity and critical care patients in an emergency environment
