Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit, with potential to float to additional units serving the same patient population
• Monitor and interpret ECG cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to telemetry findings
• Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with facility protocols
• Participate in rotating holiday coverage, working at minimum every other holiday
• Complete facility orientation requirements including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments with an acceptable passing score
• Maintain active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications throughout the duration of the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — permanent Ohio license or compact state license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 12 months of permanent employment experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required — must be in hand at time of submission; no pending certifications accepted
• One professional reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months (co-worker references will not be accepted)
• No open background case or license hits; all background findings are reviewed by the facility
• Locals are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience within a single facility or location for the required specialty tenure
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation in an acute care setting
• Comfort working variable day and night rotating shifts to meet operational needs
