Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Rapid Response)

Contract | 6-Week Assignment | Expected 48 hours/week | Mid Shift (3:00 PM – 3:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care in a high-volume Emergency Department with 40+ beds and a 4:1 patient ratio (3 rooms and 1 hall bed during high volume)
• Perform IV starts, phlebotomy, and cardiac monitoring and interpretation
• Operate and utilize unit equipment including cardiac monitors, EKGs, ultrasound, Belmont Rapid Infuser, IO Drills, and Lifepak devices
• Document and manage patient care using Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, team leads, advanced paramedics, and support staff across day and night shifts
• Demonstrate adaptability and strong teamwork in a fast-paced, high-pressure emergency care environment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• TNCC certification required
• ENPC certification required
• CPI certification required by 9/30
• No time-off requests or special scheduling considerations can be accommodated for this assignment
• Availability to start within 5–7 days of offer

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in a high-pressure emergency or acute care environment
• Background as an RN, Paramedic, or Emergency Medical Technician
• Outgoing, positive demeanor with the ability to perform effectively under pressure
