Registered Nurse – Telemetry (Neurology)

Contract | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a telemetry unit with a neurology focus, managing a variety of neurological diagnoses
• Perform and document NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) assessments with proficiency
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5 and deliver safe, high-quality nursing care throughout each shift
• Float between units as needed to support staffing and patient care demands
• Work every other weekend as part of the standard schedule
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Neurology patient care experience required, including proficiency with the NIH Stroke Scale
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a standard traveler (locals accepted at a modified rate)
• Must submit all RTO and scheduling requests upfront at time of submission; post-offer RTO requests may not be granted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a short-term acute care or Level II Trauma Center environment
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and neurological patient populations
• Prior travel nursing experience
