Respiratory Therapist – Registered (Travel, Nights)

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide timely diagnostic and therapeutic cardiopulmonary services to inpatients and outpatients following protocols approved by medical staff and department policy
• Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures, including intubations and insertion of arterial lines
• Manage ventilators and maintain patient airways
• Deliver medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas and perform blood gas analysis
• Conduct pulmonary function studies and cardiac and pulmonary stress tests

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapist clinical experience, including intubation experience
• NBRC RRT or CRT certification required
• Active Tennessee Respiratory Therapy license required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required (must be issued through the American Heart Association)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel therapy experience
• Experience working in a long term acute care or similar inpatient hospital setting
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
