Registered Nurse – Electrophysiology

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Days, 5x8-Hour Shifts, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM | No weekends, no on-call required
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with cardiac cath lab procedures including pacemaker/defibrillator lead extraction/removal and Watchman procedures
- Support electrophysiology procedures such as cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, cardioversion, arrhythmia induction, conduction studies, AICD insertion/programming, left atrial appendage (LAA) closure, and pacemaker insertion
- Administer and monitor cardiac medications including antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, and thrombolytics
- Perform 12-lead EKG/ECG acquisition and interpret and manage dysrhythmias
- Provide patient education focused on lifestyle modifications and medication adherence
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license required; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an RN in Electrophysiology (EP)
- EPIC electronic health record experience required
- Demonstrated proficiency with electrophysiology and cardiac cath lab procedures as outlined in responsibilities
- 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
- Local and non-local candidates welcome; locals accepted at applicable rate
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a heart and vascular clinic or similar outpatient cardiac setting
- Familiarity with advanced EP mapping and ablation technologies
- Strong patient communication skills with experience delivering cardiac-focused education
