Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics

Contract | 26 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12-Hour Shifts) | Expected 36–48 hours/week | Every other weekend and every other holiday required; must be available to work 2 of 3 winter holidays; time off around Christmas is not available for approval

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services within a neuro diagnostics setting during overnight shifts
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed per facility policy
• Complete specialty-specific orientation modules as assigned (up to 16 non-billable hours during orientation)
• Document and record all relevant clinical activity accurately, including in Epic
• Adhere to facility compliance standards, including RTO limits of a maximum of 40 hours per 13-week contract period

Required Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience required; 4 years of experience strongly preferred
• Active Virginia state license required; candidates with a pending VA license may be considered provided a temporary license can be obtained before the start date — an active license in another state is required to be eligible for a temporary VA license
• Epic experience required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (locals are not accepted for this unit)
• All RTO must be disclosed at time of submission; no additional RTO will be approved after offer acceptance
• Any pre-start time off between sign date and start date must be disclosed at submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACCS) certification preferred
• 4 or more years of respiratory therapy experience
• Prior travel therapy experience in an acute care or neuro diagnostics environment
