Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a telemetry/step-down unit with a patient ratio of 1:4–5
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; must pass a facility-proctored EKG exam requiring at least 85% overall accuracy and 100% accuracy in identifying critical rhythms
• Manage IV cardiac medications and continuous infusions for telemetry patients
• Participate in stroke care and management, including familiarity with CVA protocols
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
• Float within the facility as needed within scope of practice and skill set

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN License — must be in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required (may be obtained prior to start date)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year of recent telemetry or step-down experience
• Proficiency with Epic for clinical documentation
• Flu vaccine or approved exemption required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with critical drips and CVA/stroke patient populations
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Familiarity with stroke care protocols and management
