Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 or 26 weeks) | Days, 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:00) | Onsite | Expected 36–48 hours/week | Every other weekend, every other holiday; must work 2 of 3 winter holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services within a pediatric hospital setting, including NICU and PICU populations
• Deliver patient care in accordance with Level 4 NICU standards and protocols
• Participate in a self-scheduling model; schedule accommodations are made on a best-effort basis and are not guaranteed
• Float within scope of practice to other units as operationally needed
• Complete specialty-specific orientation modules (up to 16 non-billable hours during orientation; additional time is billable)
• Document care and maintain compliance using Epic electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Active Virginia state license required; pending license accepted provided a temporary license can be obtained before start date — a license in at least one other state is required to be eligible for a temporary Virginia license
• Minimum Level 4 NICU clinical experience required
• Epic experience required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (locals are not accepted for this unit)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Cardiac PICU experience preferred
• Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACCS) certification preferred
