Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a mixed PCU/Med-Surg Telemetry/Med-Surg unit serving adult and geriatric patients with renal, urology, and vascular diagnoses at a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias in a telemetry setting
• Manage genitourinary and renal care needs including renal failure patients, CAPD, and CBI procedures
• Administer and monitor IV therapy including peripheral line care/management and Heparin protocols
• Provide respiratory support via nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management
• Float within service line to support Neuro/Stroke, Cardiac, Orthopedic, Trauma, Oncology, General Surgery, Uro/Vascular, and Observation units across multiple facilities as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license — pending Ohio license not accepted; valid license required prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience
• ACLS, BLS (AHA), and NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Epic charting experience required
• Availability to work every other weekend; night shift weekends are Friday and Saturday
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local travelers within 50 miles are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Heparin protocols
• Prior experience in a PCU, telemetry, or stepdown environment
• Familiarity with CAPD and CBI procedures
• Experience floating across multiple units or facility locations
