Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Progressive Care Unit)

Contract (13 or 18 weeks available) | Nights | 4x12-hour shifts | 19:00–07:00 | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Progressive Care/Stepdown unit in an inpatient acute care setting
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry; must pass an online EKG/Dysrhythmia competency assessment prior to starting assignment
• Document all patient care accurately using Epic EMR
• Float within specialty cluster or to other units, including High Risk Respiratory, at the facility's discretion based on census and skill set — candidate must be comfortable floating with no restrictions
• Work every other weekend and every other holiday as required
• Complete up to 24 hours of orientation modules at the start of the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in any U.S. state or valid compact license; license must be obtained and active before the contract begins
• No past license disciplinary actions will be accepted
• EKG/Dysrhythmia competency assessment must be completed within 72 hours of signing the contract
• Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of signing the contract
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Progressive Care, IMC, PCU, or Stepdown unit setting
• Comfort with floating to various units based on census and clinical skill set
• Experience working in a high-acuity or respiratory care environment
