Contract (16-Week Assignment) | Full-Time | Days | 8-Hour Shifts (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) | Expected 40 Hours/Week | No Weekends
Key Responsibilities
- Provide infusion therapy nursing care within an outpatient Hematology/Oncology clinic setting
- Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy treatments to adult patients (ages 18–100) in accordance with established protocols
- Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 across an 8-chair infusion unit
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using the Epic electronic medical records system
- Participate in holiday coverage — travelers are expected to work 2 out of 4 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day)
- Ensure complete and accurate work history documentation, including facility type, EMR used, and bed/chair counts, is on file prior to submission
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Vermont or compact state eligibility
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years in Hematology/Oncology or Infusion Therapy
- Outpatient clinic experience in an Infusion/Oncology setting is required
- Chemo and biotherapy certification required
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is required and non-negotiable
- Reliable personal or rental vehicle strongly recommended — public transportation is not accessible in this area; vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November through April
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a dedicated Hematology/Oncology infusion unit
- Familiarity with a wide adult patient population across a broad age range
- Ability to adapt to a posted scheduling model without block scheduling
