Sterile Processing Technician

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 5x8-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | Rotating weekends and occasional scheduled holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination of all items including drills, robotic surgical instruments, and scopes
• Assemble instruments across all service lines including trauma, loaners, and peel packaging
• Execute sterilization processes using Sterrad and steam sterilization methods
• Perform High-Level Disinfection (HLD) and scope reprocessing
• Manage sterile storage and serve as OR Liaison as needed
• Utilize instrument tracking and reprocessing systems including Censitrac and Medivator

Required Qualifications

• CBSPD or CRCST certification (through HSPA, formerly IAHCSMM) required
• Experience in all areas of a sterile processing department, including decontamination, assembly, sterilization, HLD, and sterile storage
• Prior experience in a high-volume, Level One trauma facility or comparable setting strongly preferred
• Medivator experience required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Censitrac instrument tracking system
• OR Liaison experience in a busy surgical services environment
• Familiarity with robotic surgical instrument reprocessing (e.g., da Vinci)
• Background working with loaner instrument sets and trauma service lines
