Key Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of routine and advanced nuclear medicine imaging procedures while supporting efficient patient flow and throughput
• Observe radiation, personnel, and patient safety measures; maintain radiation safety protocols while handling radionuclides and pharmaceuticals
• Ensure completed exams are scanned and stored correctly in PACS; follow PACS downtime procedures and escalate issues to the PACS administrator as needed
• Troubleshoot basic equipment maintenance, participate in QA, and report equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel with proper follow-up
• Complete daily logs and periodic tests as required by licensure; participate in ongoing education, safety initiatives, and technical advances within scope of practice
• Demonstrate flexibility by working other shifts and at other campuses as needed or required

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or an accepted and approved equivalent program
• Nuclear Medicine Technology certification by ARRT (N) or NMTCB required
• Texas State Licensure: Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) issued by the Texas Medical Board (TMB) required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required — American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical nuclear medicine experience
• Basic computer proficiency required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-volume or multi-campus imaging environment
• Familiarity with PACS systems and image archiving workflows
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with radiologists, referring physicians, and clinical staff
