Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Rotating Shifts (Days/Evenings) | 8-hour and 12-hour shifts | Day: 6:00 AM–2:00 PM or 6:00 AM–6:00 PM; Evening: 2:00 PM–10:00 PM | Every other weekend and every other holiday required | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to long-term care residents, including those with memory care, dementia, and orthopedic conditions
- Maintain appropriate nurse-to-resident ratios, functioning as one of two nurses during day and evening shifts
- Utilize the facility's electronic medical record system (PCC/PointClickCare) for accurate and timely documentation
- Complete facility-specific orientation including building orientation and safe lift training
- Participate in rotating weekend and holiday coverage schedules
Required Qualifications
- Active RN (Registered Nurse) license in the state of South Dakota or a compact state license
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to work a rotating schedule covering day and evening shifts, including 8-hour and 12-hour shifts
- Availability to work every other weekend and every other holiday
- Candidates residing within 80 miles of the facility may be subject to local pay rates
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting
- Familiarity with memory care and dementia patient populations
- Experience with PCC (PointClickCare) EMR platform
