Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit within a large acute care hospital setting
• Must be able to circulate in the OR/delivery setting
• Must be able to perform sterile vaginal exams
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support maternal and neonatal patient outcomes
• May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby the contracted facility as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active, valid RN license for the state of California (compact license must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required — first-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted at time of submittal; post-offer RTO may not be considered
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at the standard travel rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• AWHONN Advanced certification preferred
• Experience in large hospital settings highly preferred
• Familiarity with MAGNET-designated facility standards and culture
