Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an ICU/CCU setting, including management of multi-system organ failure, CVA/acute stroke, and hypothermia protocols
• Manage and titrate cardiac drips, vasoactive drips, continuous IV sedation, and continuous IV paralytics/neuromuscular blockade
• Perform and interpret 12-lead EKGs and dysrhythmia interpretation and management; Advanced EKG exam required prior to start (must score 80% or higher)
• Manage arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, and ports; administer blood products and emergency medications
• Support respiratory care including ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP assistance, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), ABG interpretation, and suctioning (ETT/NT)
• May float to DOU, Telemetry, or Med-Tele as needed; every other weekend required; must be willing to work holidays

Required Qualifications

• Valid California RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 3 years of ICU/CCU experience
• ACLS, BLS, CPI, MAB or VIP, and NIHSS certifications required
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR required
• FloTrac/Vigileo monitoring experience required
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with procedural sedation administration and IV insulin protocols
• Familiarity with infection prevention, isolation precautions, and PPE protocols
• Experience assisting with chest tube insertion/removal and surgical wound/wound vac care
• Background in chronic/acute renal failure management
