Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist in a high-volume surgical environment covering a broad range of case types including General, Orthopedic, Spine, Total Joints, Urology, Endoscopic/Laparoscopic, Vascular, Gynecological, and OB cases
• Provide scrubbing support across multiple shift windows including days and extended evening shifts; block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Participate in on-call rotation with a required 30-minute response time; on-call shifts include weekday and weekend coverage as scheduled within a 6-week pay period
• Float to an outpatient surgery pavilion (3 OR suites) at a sister facility as needed
• Document and chart using the EPIC electronic health records system
• Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of surgical technologist experience required (first-time travelers considered with 3+ years of experience)
• Spine and Total Joint experience is required — candidates without this experience will not be considered
• Active CST certification required; national certification through either NBSTSA or NCCT is acceptable
• Active BLS certification required
• Valid California state license or compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Inpatient surgical experience required
• Must live within 50 miles of the facility; locals are accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Ophthalmology, Plastics, Podiatry, ENT, or Robotic-Assisted Gynecological procedures (including Da Vinci Xi)
• Sterile Processing Department (SPD) experience preferred
• Outpatient surgical experience preferred
• Familiarity with robotic-assisted surgical platforms
