Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 3x12-hour shifts per week | 13 or 26-week assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide postpartum care to patients following delivery, managing up to 4 couplets as standard census
- Care for high-risk obstetric patients including those requiring Magnesium, Pitocin, and postpartum hemorrhage management
- Perform and manage Foley catheter insertion and care as part of routine postpartum procedures
- Support patients experiencing substance withdrawal within the postpartum setting
- Float as required to postpartum units at sister campuses and assist with Labor and Delivery second-hour recovery coverage
- Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of postpartum nursing experience with high-acuity patient populations
- High-risk obstetric care experience required
- Experience with Magnesium administration and Epic EMR is a hard stop requirement
- Active RN license required; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
- Required certifications: BLS and NRP
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with JADA system for postpartum hemorrhage management
- Ability to manage census surges, including assignment of a 4th couplet when needed
- Prior experience in a large-volume, high-census obstetric facility serving a diverse patient population
