Travel LVN/LPN – Med Surg / Telemetry

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Trauma/Ortho/Med-Surg unit with a 6:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Operate and monitor equipment including IV pumps, Wound Vacs, SCD pumps, Kangaroo Pumps, Chest Tubes, Telemetry monitors, PCA pumps, BiPAPs, and Epidurals
• Perform wound vac changes, wound care, IV insertions, and insertion of indwelling Foley catheters
• Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team including Charge RNs, RNs, PCTs, and unit secretaries
• Float to other units as needed (6A, 3A, 3 South, 4 South)
• May be placed on call when census is low

Required Qualifications

• Active LVN/LPN nursing license
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Med-Surg experience
• Strong critical thinking skills

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Demonstrated prioritization skills in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Strong time management skills
• Experience with telemetry monitoring
