Contract | Travel | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 13-Week Assignment | Projected Start: October 6, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed Medical Surgical unit with a 6:1 patient ratio
- Care for post-surgical patients including those recovering from cholecystectomy and cystoscopy with stent placement
- Manage pain management protocols and monitor CIWA patients
- Utilize unit equipment including Hoyer lifts, Sara Steady, and bladder scanners
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
- Float to other units as needed based on hospital census and staffing requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in the state of Texas (or compact license)
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical or acute care RN experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous Medical Surgical or acute care experience beyond minimum requirement
- Prior experience working within an HCA facility
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR
