Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Full-Time, Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Telemetry unit with patient ratios of 1:3–1:4 (AM) and 1:4–1:5 (PM), utilizing patient care techs when available
- Perform advanced assessment and critical thinking in the management of telemetry patients, including monitoring cardiac rhythms via bedside cardiac monitors
- Manage vasoactive drips and operate unit equipment including BiPAP, Heated High-Flow Nasal Cannulas, Alaris IV pumps, and Kangaroo Feeding Pumps
- Assist with or support Central Line and PICC line placement procedures
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech documentation system
- Participate in bedside shift report, hourly rounding, and daily leadership rounds in alignment with patient experience standards
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Missouri or compact state eligibility
- Required Certifications: BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 1 year of Telemetry or related nursing experience
- Advanced assessment and critical thinking skills
- Experience with management of vasoactive drips
- Willingness to float to MedSurg units as needed per floating policy
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience with Meditech electronic documentation system
- Familiarity with BiPAP, High-Flow Nasal Cannula therapy, and IV pump management
- Experience in a facility with Level 2 Trauma, Stroke, STEMI, or Bariatric accreditations
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong interpersonal communication skills
