Key Responsibilities

• Provide progressive care nursing on a 24-bed PCU with a 5:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
• Care for a diverse patient population including post-operative orthopedic, spine, and GYN surgical patients, as well as elective cath lab procedure patients (post-PCI, post-pacemaker, ablation, cardioversion)
• Monitor and manage patients with conditions including stroke, CIWA, chest pain, renal failure, and respiratory failure
• Administer and monitor cardiac drips at set rates; manage heparin drip titration
• Utilize telemetry and post-op monitoring equipment; document care using Meditech/CPN EMR
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications throughout assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Colorado
• Minimum 1 year of current hospital PCU experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Cardiac nursing experience
• Prior experience with Meditech EMR
• Friendly, outgoing personality with a strong teamwork orientation
