Key Responsibilities
- Perform ADL evaluations and provide occupational therapy treatments across adult and pediatric acute inpatient, ICU, and acute inpatient rehab settings
- Conduct approximately 9 evaluations and 16 treatments per day
- Document clinical findings and justify next level of care in accordance with facility standards
- Cover a broad range of patient populations including trauma, neuro, ortho, general med/surg, oncology, stroke, and pediatric and adult inpatient rehab programs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including rehab aides and COTAs
- Work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis with core staff; compensatory days are scheduled accordingly
Required Qualifications
- Active Wisconsin state Occupational Therapist license (required prior to credentialing)
- National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification
- Experience with ADL evaluation and documentation supporting next level of care
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work a variable day shift schedule, including weekends and holidays in rotation
- Must complete all onboarding requirements, including Wisconsin state licensure, in advance of credentialing deadlines; please note the credentialing process may extend the timeline from submission to start date by up to two months or longer
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in acute care settings including ICU, trauma, stroke, and inpatient rehabilitation
- Familiarity with both adult and pediatric patient populations
- Demonstrated flexibility and strong teamwork skills in a high-volume clinical environment
- Experience with same-day discharge joint programs or specialty stroke programs
