Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 29-bed Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit serving ortho trauma, vascular, urology, neuro-spine, OB/GYN oncology, and acute medical patients
• Titrate drips including heparin following a prescribed nomogram; occasional titration of nitroglycerin, bivalirudin, Cardizem, and insulin
• Manage patients with CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen therapy in collaboration with respiratory therapy support; no ventilator management required
• Assume expanded responsibilities for vital signs and ADLs during evening and overnight hours when CNA coverage is reduced
• Float to other adult medical/surgical nursing units as needed
• Adhere to facility clock-in/clock-out requirements at all times

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 1–2 years of acute care nursing experience
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission date; prior employment must be disclosed at time of submission
• Candidates residing within 80 miles of the facility are considered local and will be subject to a reduced rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for orthopedic, vascular, or urological surgical patients
• Familiarity with heparin drip protocols and anticoagulation management
• Experience with wound care and continuous bladder irrigation
