Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Med Surg Oncology unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, caring for patients receiving chemotherapy, diagnostic services, and symptom management
• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias related to chemotherapy administration and disease progression
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, arterial lines, and ports, including access and ongoing care
• Administer blood products and manage IV therapy; assist with chest tube insertion and removal
• Operate specialized equipment including GE B450 telemetry monitors, Alaris pumps, bladder scanner, and Stryker beds
• Maintain a heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention; float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Active, valid RN compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Locals are accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology nursing experience preferred but not required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience with high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) and interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs)
• Familiarity with GE telemetry systems and Alaris infusion pumps
