Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) | Expected 36 hours/week | 13–26 week contracts considered

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a fast-paced cardiac telemetry unit managing diagnoses including congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, pacemaker/ICD implantations, and pre/post cardiac catheterization
• Monitor and manage patients on cardiac drips including Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, Dopamine, and Diltiazem
• Perform specialized procedures including sheath pulls, TR bands, and Femstop management
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5–6 and complete documentation using Epic and SBAR communication standards
• Work required weekend shifts (approximately 5–6 shifts over a 6-week scheduling period) and float to other units as needed based on facility need
• May be assigned to a Storm Team or Hurricane Team and expected to report during catastrophic events, mass casualty incidents, or disasters

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a valid Compact state license (pending licensure considered for submittal)
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Cardiac Telemetry, PCU, IMC, or Stepdown nursing
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Must be open to floating within or near the facility as needed
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are accepted; a local pay rate applies

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-acuity, fast-paced cardiac environment
• Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems and Epic EMR
• Comfort with cardiac drip management and hemodynamic monitoring
