Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a high-volume OR environment handling an average of 20–25 cases per day across 5 suites
• Support a broad range of surgical specialties including general surgery, GYN, urology, orthopedics, and podiatry
• Utilize Epic OpTime EMR for documentation and case management
• Participate in weeknight, weekend, and holiday call rotations (approximately once every 6 weeks each); call response time expected within 45 minutes
• Scrubbing preferred; at least some travelers with scrubbing skills are expected on the unit
• Float to a nearby sister facility as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience
• Must comply with a drug-free workplace policy and produce a negative drug screen for all panels
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for standard contract rates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Orthopedic surgery experience strongly preferred
• Scrubbing skills preferred
• PALS certification is a plus, though not required
• Familiarity with Epic OpTime or similar OR-specific EMR platforms
