Key Responsibilities

  • Train and support users of electronic health record (EHR) and clinical systems
  • Configure and optimize clinical content in collaboration with medical staff across outpatient and inpatient settings
  • Evaluate and improve clinical processes to align with best practices
  • Manage user access and troubleshoot system issues by coordinating with IT and other teams
  • Maintain and update clinical applications, including adding new tests, medications, and codes
  • Develop training materials and deliver instruction through various modalities
  • Assess and enhance clinical decision support systems and workflows
  • Collaborate across multiple sites to ensure system and process alignment

Required Qualifications

  • Active nursing license in Alaska or another U.S. state (must have applied for license before start date)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a medical setting, with clinical experience preferred
  • At least 2 years of experience working with clinical information systems
  • 1 year of experience with computer technology such as programming, report generation, or hardware
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Clinical informatics training preferred
  • Knowledge of HL7 messaging, scheduling, radiology, laboratory, and document scanning systems

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Inpatient clinical experience
  • Teaching or training experience
  • Familiarity with hospital and clinic accreditation processes
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Ability to problem-solve, prioritize, and work independently or collaboratively
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10% to various sites within the consortium
