Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a busy Medical Surgical unit, including post-surgical, post-angiogram, post-MI, and general medical patients.
- Monitor patients using telemetry and respond to rapid response calls as needed.
- Manage IV therapy, medication administration, and patient assessments.
- Float within scope to other MedSurg and similar units as required.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure quality patient outcomes and adherence to protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Surgical RN experience.
- Active Illinois RN license in hand.
- BLS and NIH certifications.
- Ability to work every other weekend.
- Must be able to work 12-hour night shifts.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and remote patient monitoring.
- Cardiac case experience such as post-Angiogram or Post MI care.
- IV insulin protocols and glycemic management skills.
- Experience with wound care or wound vacs.
- Familiarity with Cerner charting system.
- Experience with Level I trauma centers preferred.

Additional Details
- Candidates must have IL license and be local or willing to relocate within the specified radius.
- Floating within scope is required; travel and compliance requirements are strict.
- Shift involves night hours with guaranteed hours, and candidates will work every other weekend.
- No on-call required; RTO requests of up to 5 days are generally accommodated.
- Parking is provided at no cost during orientation.
