Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to post-surgical and trauma patients, including bariatric, urology, hepatobiliary, colorectal, and trauma cases.
• Manage complex patient needs involving wound care, drain management, and use of medical devices such as epidurals, PCA pumps, and feeding tubes.
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, utilizing Rapid Response/Code teams as appropriate.
• Administer medications and treatments including Bladder Irrigation, IV insertion and management, and wound vac care.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including Isolation Precautions and PPE, while providing patient education and support.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a floating capacity across units to meet patient needs.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license valid in Missouri or eligible for license transfer.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a PCU, IMC, or stepdown unit.
• BLS certification; NIH Stroke certification preferred.
• Proficiency in MS/Tele, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV therapy, wound care, and management of multiple drains and surgical devices.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts with flexibility for floating and extended schedules.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with bariatric, urology, hepatobiliary, colorectal, or trauma patient populations.
• Knowledge of advanced pain management techniques, including epidural, PCA, and ketamine infusions.
• Familiarity with complex surgical cases and multi-drain management.
