• Registered Nurse - Cardiac Catheterization Lab / Electrophysiology (EP)

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Day shift, On-call rotation (nights, weekends, holidays)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a Level 1 Trauma Center Cath Lab, utilizing critical thinking and the nursing process.
• Perform patient assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, and evaluate patient outcomes.
• Document nursing interventions accurately and comprehensively, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Educate patients and families, supporting understanding of procedures and care plans.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and support system-wide quality initiatives.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support the patient's longitudinal care plan and resolve system issues.
• Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to evidence-based practice improvements.
• Manage telephonic triage and patient flow in outpatient and clinic settings, responding promptly to patient needs.

Required Qualifications

• Current Illinois RN licensure.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with education verification.
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, including 1 year in critical care and cardiovascular intervention.
• Successful completion of EKG testing prior to orientation completion.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working specifically in a Cath Lab environment.
• Familiarity with procedures related to cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology.
